APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR NYS FAIR TEEN SUPERINTENDENTS If you are interested in applying to be a Junior Superintendent for the New York State Fair, this is your chance! Junior Superintendents are Youth Leaders who work with and for NYS 4-H to provide some of the important services that are necessary to make the State Fair and the Youth Building the great experience that it is for youth and the public. Junior Superintendents must be:  available to work during and prior to State Fair as assigned  self-motivated  take directions well  attend Orientation as scheduled  be prompt and prepared to work as scheduled

   

be polite, cheery and helpful to all go above and beyond, to represent the best of 4-H, and be a role model to other 4-H members statewide communicate well with others work for, and with other youth, and with adults from across New York State

**Please note that this is a competitive search for candidates, and there are a limited number of positions that will be filled. It is recommended to apply as early as possible.** A full job description is available, by request, please contact Melissa in the 4-H Office for this information. If this is a commitment that you would like to pursue, please contact Melissa,(so that she can work with you) and complete the application and requirements. All applications and supporting documents must be typed, and signed. Please have completed applications to Melissa by June 5 to ensure time to process the application and get it to it's destination at NYS 4-H by the due date. **All who wish to be Junior Superintendents must go through the application process. Please let Melissa know, and she will help you to locate the application that is appropriate for your needs. If you have any questions, please contact Melissa.

TIOGA CO. 4-H TEEN MEETING Tioga County 4-H Teens! Based on the responses to the Doodle Poll, the 4-H Teen Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the CCE Conference Room. This opportunity is open to all enrolled 4-H members, age 13 and up. There will be some food and 4-H Fun. Please let Melissa know if you have any dietary needs or any questions at: [email protected] or (607)687-4020.

PULLUROM TESTING SCHEDULED Pullurom Testing will be held Wednesday, July 12 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the 4-H Youth Building.

4-H ARCHERY TO BEGIN The 4-H Archery Project will be held Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. The cost is $10.00. All youth participants must by 8 years old and up as of January 1, 2017. Contact Jody in the 4-H Office to sign up. There are still 5 openings available.

4-H ANIMAL SCIENCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING RESCHEDULED The 4-H Animal Science Advisory Committee meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the CCE Conference Room.

Our hours fluctuate so be sure to call ahead before coming in. If you need to pick up something, let us know ahead of time so that we can get what you need ready and/or can leave it at the front desk for you to pick up.
