MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT: MAY 7 ______________________________________________ George W. Truett Theological Seminary TEXAS

Amy Hatchett Sims, children’s minister at Sugar Land Baptist Church, values her time as a student at George W. Truett Theological Seminary. “My time at Truett was very formational. The classes I took and the relationships with peers and professors gave me lenses to see the needs of the church and the world and helped me develop tools for the work ahead. I’m so grateful for the broad base of classes and learning in addition to course work within my field,” she said.

“An investment in Truett is an investment in ministry in Texas Baptists churches,” said Todd Still, dean of Truett Seminary. “We train the sons and daughters of those churches for Texas and beyond. An investment in Truett Seminary is an investment in the Great Commission.”

Since 1994, more than 1,350 pastors, staff members, professors and church leaders have graduated from Truett Seminary and gone on to lead and serve in ministries throughout Texas, the United States and around the world. The seminary, located on Baylor University’s campus, is one of Texas Baptists’ partner institutions and a recipient of our Cooperative Program giving. Pray for men and women to continue to answer God’s call to ministry and to go wherever He leads.
