Trainees, apprentices and students share in $8000 Thanks to donations from several shire businesses, 10 local trainees, apprentices and external studies students became the beneficiaries of $8000 worth of funding at the Narrabri Christmas Carnival through the Live and Learn Locally promotion. The Courier, Cotton Seed Distributors (CSD), The MAC, Whitehaven and Boggabri Coal each donated $1000, while Santos generously donated $3000, which will be distributed in conjunction with the Narrabri Education Foundation.
Santos donates extra $1000 after collapse of Brindabella Airlines Brindabella Airlines had agreed to donate $1000 in grant money as part of the Live and Learn Locally promotion, but after the company’s collapse there were concerns that the beneficiaries would lose out on a share of the funding because of Santos’ Annie Alexander, left, and Annie Moody far right, who presented grant money to Ryan McFetridge, Matthew Gordon a reduced money pool. and Eric Nixon. Santos generously donated a total of $3000 to the Live and Learn Locally promotion. But after learning of
the situation, Santos, which had already agreed to donate $2000, stepped in and put forward a further $1000. It meant Santos generously donated a total of $3000 towards the promotion, a fantastic contribution that will help residents live and learn locally.
