MONTHLY TOPICS Reading/Writing: This month we are continuing to read the story called Brave Girl. This story is about a girl, Clara, who stands up for women's rights because they are being treated unfairly as workers in the factories. We are identifying the character's feelings, traits, motivations and how her actions impacted history. Students will be able to make comparisons about Clara to what they have learned about Rosa Parks. Math: During this month, we will be learning about telling time and measuring different lengths. We will be using clocks to identify the time and how much time has passed. We will be using rulers to measure. Also, we will learn how to estimate and then find the volume of a liquid and mass of an object using different materials.
