RECOMMENDATION
1) Appoint the members of Council to the various intergovernmental organizations and associations and City Subcommittees; and, 2) Direct staff to notify the various agencies of the Council's decision. DISCUSSION
The City Council Members represent the City on various intergovernmental agencies and associations that consider policy and legislation which directly impacts the City. In addition, Council Members serve on City Council Ad Hoc and Standing Subcommittees. Assignments to these organizations, associations, and committees have traditionally been made after the annual City Council reorganization and selection of the Mayor. Following the December 3, 2013 Council Reorganization, Mayor Duhovic directed staff to send the current list of City Council Assignments to all Council Members, so that each Council Member would have the opportunity to express his/her interest in serving on particular organizations or committees. Mayor Duhovic has reviewed and compiled the information received and made assignments to each of the organizations and committee appointments. The Draft 2014 City Council Assignment List and a document containing the organization/association meeting times, locations, 700 Form requirement, and specified attendee to serve are attached for your reference.

It should be noted that staff continues to take an active role in the Peninsula Regional Law Enforcement Committee with Deputy City Manager Petru's regular attendance and administrative support of that committee. In addition, Senior Administrative Analyst Matt Waters continues to attend the Los Angeles (LAX) Community Noise Roundtable meetings, and Senior Administrative Analyst Kit Fox attends the Ponte Vista Development meetings. After the appointments are made to the various organizations and associations, Staff will notify each of the agencies regarding that decision.
