December, 2017  In August 2017 we celebrated 11 years as YUGO Missionaries in Mexico! God has done some amazing things in us and through us throughout the more than decade of service on this field! We are thankful to be a small part of what God is doing in this part of His world. Here are some highlights from 2017! January  We were able to rent the entire land we were going to use for the missionary training center!  We received 3 new staff in January to help us prepare for the upcoming year!  Mike unexpectedly became pastor of Calvary Chapel La Paz February  Many members from our team here went to a conference in Central Mexico where the population is virtually unreached with the gospel. It was eye opening to experience the need for missionaries in parts of Mexico! March  Mike taught in Calvary Chapel Bible College in Merida. 2 of the students from that class are now students at La Huerta! April We received a visit from our Director Scott Wester and a van load of tables and chairs to help get us started! May  Mike taught at the Bible College in Ensenada. Several people from there have become students here at La Huerta!  Elijah Graduated Bible College and returned to Canada to work and get ready for College June  Caleb Graduated from High School and moved to Canada to work and get ready for College! July  We had our staff team completed here with the addition of Fabian and Dalvin who bring great abilities, expertise and desire to Serve Jesus! August  We received 7 students for our first year of La Huerta!  Oliver and Rosita (staff at la Huerta) celebrated 1 year marriage anniversary and had their first baby, Joel! September  Classes are in full swing and God has been speaking to our students! October th  Mike and Sharlene celebrated their 25 Wedding anniversary. Thank you Jesus! November  Calvary Chapel La Paz is filling up- we set a date for January 2018 to start our second service! We want to say thank you to all of you who were apart of this ministry in 2017 in so many different ways! We appreciate your prayers, your financial support, your time and your friendship over the year, and indeed, over many years! May you have a Merry Christmas and a blessed 2018!
