The Steelheads are a Junior Hockey team that plays out of the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, in the Eastern Conference of the Ontario Hockey League. Job Description: We are currently seeking individuals who are passionate about sport, and are actively looking to gain experience in the industry. As a part of the Steelheads Media Relations/Game Day team, you will be involved in the day-‐to-‐day business operations of the organization, assisting with game day operations and other duties as required. Job Duties: •
Responsible for assisting with advanced game day preparations including pre-‐game, in-‐ game, and post-‐game
•
Assist with game day set-‐up
•
Setting-‐up, running, and taking down in-‐game contests
•
Posting game day signage
•
Preparing Game Day line ups, Media Kits, and Programs
•
Prepare game day media passes
•
Media liaison – prepare media room, facilitate pre and post-‐game interviews
•
Assist with writing post-‐game reviews and press-‐releases
•
Assist with content for social media platforms

Available Monday – Friday (or 3 days per week minimum) and for all Steelheads home games (schedule can be seen on website) Passion for sports Commitment to integrity and hard work Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in team and independent roles Creativity Excellent time management/organizational skills Adobe Photoshop/InDesign experience an asset Background in social media an asset
