MEDICINE HAT NEWS/MEDICINE HAT TIGERS SCHOLARSHIPS Application Deadline – Thursday, August 6, 2015 PURPOSE:
To help men and women, who meet eligibility requirements, to start their post-secondary educational pursuits
AMOUNT:
Two (2) scholarships are offered. Each is in the amount of $2,500
ELIGIBILITY:
Two (2) scholarships are available. Please highlight which category you are entering. For carriers and/or former carriers of the Medicine Hat News For former players in the Medicine Hat or Redcliff Minor Hockey or Ringette Associations.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS: ___
Original OFFICIAL ALBERTA EDUCATION HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT -
They can be ordered from: www.education.alberta.ca/students/transcripts.aspx

Selection will be made on the basis of high school academic performance of the FIVE (5) Academic Core Grade 12 30-Level Subjects.

Proof of membership in either the Medicine Hat Minor Hockey or Ringette Associations

Attached is a copy of proof of enrollment from the University, College or Technical Institute
___
Involvement in extra-curricular or community activities is also taken into consideration.
**Selection will be carried out by an independent committee and may involve an interview with the applicant. Applications will not be accepted from past winners of a News scholarship.**
