Meet the Secondary Transition Team Who am I? Mr S Gibson What is my role? Principal Director Secondary I am the Principal Director of the Secondary phase of the Academy based at Josephine Butler Secondary Campus, and I am looking forward to welcoming you and your child into Year 7 for the next part of their exciting educational journey! Welcome to NCEA Secondary! Who am I? Mr A Blight What is my role? Director of NCEASport As Director of NCEASport, it is my belief that every student can reach his or her full potential with the right support, challenge and guidance. With this in mind, I am delighted to be working closely with a team of others to ensure that every student is able to reach their very best and the each student is able to grow and develop as a person in a caring, Christian environment. Who am I? Sally Milner What is my role? Academy Chaplain As Chaplain I know pupils across all campuses. I am already a familiar face when they enter Year 7. I am available to help and encourage as they continue their Academy journey. Who am I? Mr G Waterston What is my role? Head of Key Stage 3 As Head of Key Stage, I am responsible for ensuring that all pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 settle well into school, make excellent progress and develop as responsible young people. I work, as part of the Key Stage Team, to ensure each child achieves their best. Who am I? Mrs A Young What is my role? Key Stage 3 Learning and Progress Manager I will be working with your child throughout their time in Key Stage 3, and, along with their Form Tutor, will be a point of contact for parents and carers who may wish to discuss aspects of school life regarding their child. I am looking forward to getting to know your child well as an individual, in order to help them to settle in and thrive at JBS.
