Structure Fire Engulfs Stadium Club NEWS RELEASE Placerville Police Department Media Relations Office of the Chief of Police 730 Main Street, Placerville, CA 95667 Placerville, CA – Fire damages Stadium Club. At 2:20 am police and fire personnel responded to calls of a possible fire at the 1560 Broadway Drive. When officers arrived on scene they encountered a fully engulfed structure. Fire District personnel were able to put out the fire quickly without it spreading up the hill behind the businesses. The Stadium Club and George’s Laundromat are located at that location and have suffered extensive damage as a result of the fire. Investigators report the fire appears accidental and nothing suspicious was observed. The businesses were not inhabited at the time of the fire and there were no reports of injuries.
