MEN’S TUESDAY NIGHT LEAGUE (MTNL) Rules and Guidelines Entry Fee:
$200 per player (CASH or CHECK). All entry fees must be paid by April 25th. If payment isn’t received by then, your team will not be eligible to play. Personal checks to be made out to Blue Bell Country Club.
Eligibility:
The league is open to all male Platinum, Gold, Weekday & Division I juniors at Blue Bell Country Club.
Format:
Match Play - Better Ball of Partners (9-Holes) – The PRIMARY TEE us for the competition will be the Blue Tee Markers. • • •
Teams must have a combined handicap between 0 and 45. Handicaps will be adjusted if the team falls outside this range during the season. Players will receive 90% of their current USGA handicap. Strokes will be awarded in each match according to the following formula: o Low handicap in the match plays at scratch. o Others receive ½ the difference between their handicap and the low handicap with strokes being awarded based on the handicap rank of the hole, ½ strokes inclusive.
Points are earned as follows: 0 points for a loss ½ point for a tie 1 point for a win Due to an odd number of flights and weeks, Week 8 will be a NET Better Ball of Partners (Stableford Points). Stableford points are earned as follows: 5 points for an Eagle 3 points for a Birdie 1 point for a Par -1 point for a Bogey or Worse The team with the most stableford points within their flight will receive the following points: 1st ~ 2.0 points 2nd ~1.8 points 3rd ~ 1.6 points 4th ~ 1.4 points 5th ~ 1.2 points 6th ~ 1 point Scorecards:
All scorecards must be signed, attested, and submitted immediately following play.
Posting:
Scores will be posted by the league. If your match completes prior to the conclusion of all 9 holes, the use of par plus any handicap strokes the player is entitled to receive, should be recorded on the scorecard for each hole
that is not finished. If a player decides to continue playing after the completion of the match, only a score that is less than or equal to par plus any handicap strokes may be recorded. Starting Times:
Shotgun start beginning at 5:00PM.
Substitutes:
Substitutions are permitted during the regular season only. A maximum of 3 substitutions per team will be permitted during the 8-week regular season. Substitutes will not be permitted during the playoffs. Teams are required to find their own substitutes. The golf staff can assist in helping find substitutes, but is not required to find a partner. Substitutes will be permitted provided: • • •
They are a Blue Bell Country Club Member & not a member of the League. They have a current USGA Handicap at BBCC. Substitutes must be approved by the Head Golf Professional.
No Shows:
Teams with one no-show player will play the match as a one-man team or forfeit the match. Teams with two no-shows will forfeit the match. At least one player from a team must be present to play or the match will be forfeited.
Flights:
Flights will consist of 6 teams each. Teams will play each opponent in their respective flight once and two teams twice during the 8-week season.
Rain-Outs:
If there is a complete cancellation of a Tuesday due to inclement weather – all teams will receive a half-point. If play is started and 5 or more holes are completed; the match is official. If less than 5 holes are completed the matched is considered to be halved.

The playoffs will consist of 16 teams. All flight winners & runner-ups will qualify for the playoffs. • • • •

Playoff Notes: • Finals match will be 18-holes. • There will be a Champions Dinner (BBQ buffet) following the Finals on July 25th. The Champions Dinner is for all participants of MTNL. Playoff Seeding:
Seeding for the playoffs will occur in this manner: 1. Flight Winners | Seed 1 through 8 a. Seeding will be based on a team’s total points b. If teams are tied, a chip-off will decide seeding 2. Flight Runner-Ups | Seed 9 through 16
a. Seeding will be based on a team’s total points b. If teams are tied, a chip-off will decide seeding Tie Breakers for playoff seeding between Flight Winners or RunnerUps: 1. Chip-Off (June 27th) Tie Breaking:
Tie Breakers for Flight Winners & Runner-Ups: 1. Head to Head Match 2. Total Wins 3. Chip-Off If 3 or more teams are tied, a 9-hole better ball of partner’s playoff will be held on Friday, July 7th at 5pm.
Prize Money:
To be determined based on the number of teams and divisions. Division winners and playoff teams will receive prize money.
