The Feast of Pentecost was the closing festival of the Feast of Weeks. On Pentecost two loaves of bread baked with leaven were waved before the Lord to celebrate the ripening of the wheat harvest! The purpose of the feast of Pentecost was to recognize the Lord as the Source of all life and provision; Pentecost points to the Resurrection of Jesus!
