MG Plus Basic kit You need the following tools to complete assembly: adjustable wrenches or pliers to handle nozzle and barrel, crimp tool or small pliers to assemble thermistor cable with JST crimp-on connector. Kit includes: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.
One PEEK/PTFE groove mount for 3mm or 1.75mm filament. One barrel for 3mm or 1.75mm filament. One nozzle, 0.25, 0.35, 0.4, 0.5 or 0.6 mm extrusion diameter. One aluminum heater block with one M3 setscrew. Cartridge heater 12V 40W or 24V 40W. One EPCOS NTC B57560G104F 100k Thermistor. One Male JST connector with crimp-on pins. One Female JST connector with crimp-on pins. Two PTFE sleeves for thermistor leads.

Start with screwing barrel into groove mount assembly. Maintain proper orientation: barrel side with shorter thread goes into PEEK.
Next step is screwing heater block on the barrel all the way until it touches barrel hex. Proper orientation of heater block: M3 setscrew facing up.
Screw on nozzle. Use two wrenches as shown here. Apply necessary torque to establish tight connection between barrel and nozzle, to prevent leakage.
After nozzle tightened on the barrel, unscrew heater block until it touches nozzle. This is correct operating position of the heater block.
Insert cartridge heater and secure its position with M3 x 3 setscrew.
Put PTFE sleeves on the thermistor leads.

Prepare crimp tool or small pliers for the next step.

Completed MG Plus Basic hotend should look like one on this picture. Use male JST connector for your thermistor-to-electronics cable.
Do not exceed temperature of 260C for long periods of time, to allow for long life and trouble free operations.
Proper cooling of PEEK/PTFE mount will improve performance and make life of PEEK/PTFE mount longer.
