Midwestern BioAg Expands Utica Facility By Abby Schulte October 15, 2013 Utica, MN- Midwestern BioAg is revamping and expanding their facilities once again-this time by adding liquid storage tanks. The storage tanks were installed last week to hold Liquid-Carbon Based Fertilizer (L-CBF), a QLF manufactured product, which is used on a variety of crops as both a starter fertilizer and a foliar applied fertilizer. Midwestern BioAg has added these storage tanks in order to better service customers with their liquid fertilizer needs. Getting the tanks up and running was crucial at this point in time to be able to handle and efficiently use the L-CBF products. The new storage and handling facility allows Midwestern BioAg to hold up to 24,000 gallons of L-CBF and many opportunities to improve the distribution and use of the product. About L-CBF All of the new tanks are designed for the storage of L-CBF 10-14-1 and L-CBF TerraFed. Both are molasses based products that stimulate soil biology to increase initial root growth, plant health and plant vigor. These fertilizers are designed to get the crop off to a fast, strong start when applied infurrow or as a starter at planting time. L-CBF products can also be foliar applied. L-CBF contains plant available nutrients that have been shown to increase growth and green up in crops, resulting in yield gains, improved crop quality and plant health. Both products show promising results and Midwestern BioAg is excited to be able to now offer improved distribution of their liquid products to better suit their farmers’ needs.
