DOING MORE WITH LESS
AN EXPERIMENTATION WITH SOAP FILM MODELS AIM OF THE WORKSHOP This Workshop was part of a larger Elective on Tensile Architecture specifically designed for students of the first semester, and focuses on the form finding process for Lightweight Architectural Designs. METHODOLOGY Soap film modeling is a technique of form finding and utilized extensively by Frei Otto and his team at the Institute of Lightweight Structures, Universität Stuttgart, Germany for coming up with the optimum design : DOING MORE WITH LESS. The students are encouraged to come up with innovative forms and proposing uses for the architectural spaces so designed.
