RPGSA MEETING MINUTES January 5, 2012 Meeting called to order 7:20pm Present: Marcus, Scott W., Scott L., John Hanson, Rich Dodel, Josh West, Diane W. Javiar, April, Fred, Jared, Jason, Tracey Pasta Feed Price discussed. $10 adults and $7 kids 12/under (3/under free) Josh wants a flyer to pass out at sign ups Fields Fred to start working next week (Jan 14th) and getting drainage into M2 Looking to getting another Konnex box (cost will be $2500-3000) Fred made motion (Scott W. 2nd) to purchase provided we have funds – Board approved purchase up to $3000. Reiff Electric would donate time and material to do the electrical work for the pumps; planning to do quick connects behind mound for watering – Marcus reaffirmed that was already approved Bylaws (Scott W. has exact language) Midgets pitching change - Approved 3.33 Rookies: stealing change – Approved 3.36 Sliding – removal – Approved 3.3.12 Bunting (Rookies) removal – not approved; rule remains 3.4.1 Pitching Allotment (Midgets) ½ season with machine (4 pitches); last ½ season player first (4 pitches) coach steps in (3 pitches) – Approved 3.4.8 (midget rule) motion to strike rule – approved 3.5.7 (t-ball) midway point # of itches = 3 (take out “midway”) – approved --Scott W. asked for permission to purchase another pitching machine up to approx $300 – approved; Also wants to purchase “All Pro” scheduling software program for $99.95 – approved ACE Scott L. advised Marcus he is contacting ASA to come out & do class on 2/4 Umpires Rich will contact Dave. He has 10-16 umpires who want to become ACE certified so he’s looking into that – First week of February
Travel “A” program Fred and committee met to go over proposal for adding A teams to our program. Board approved a tryout date to see the interest we could pull and then we will go from there. Field Prep Coaches vs. H.S. Kids or parents? matter tabled. Sponsor Banners Josh W. proposed we put sponsor banners on our backstop Midgets VP April Beach was accepted and approved as the new Midgets VP Meeting Adjourned 8:55pm. Next Meeting February 2nd.
