Minutes for November 13, 2017 Booster Meeting Meeting called to order by Mike Goldman at 7:00pm. Attendees: Jo Pinder-Cross Country

Board Members: Mike Goldman, Michelle McDonough, Dave Emrick, Cheryl Mathews, Jeff Harper Review of Minutes: Approved: Motion:Don Nucerino, 2nd:Jill Patton Special Notes: Our condolences go out to the Robert Eldridge family. An East family who lost a husband and father. Our thoughts are prayers are with them. Be the Difference volunteers are still needed!! Special Thank you and plaque presentation to Taylor and Sarah from Liberty Center for the great support of the Lakota East 5K and to Jo Pinder for all her hard work and unselfish effort in spear heading the race. Treasurer: We were able to host a football playoff game this year which helped make up for our last game of the regular season since Mother Nature did not cooperate that night. For just November thus far, we have brought in 15,052 and spent 26,259 which includes craft show inventory. We have given back just over 36K to our athletic programs already this year. Next month, we will be discussing service issues with one of our concession vendors. Concessions: We will send out the Winter sports schedule, there are just a few dates still open. Spirit Shop: Thank you to everyone who helped with the craft show. It was a great success. In 2 days, we sold $5674. For November thus far, we have $7214 in total sales. The website should be up and running in a couple of weeks. There will be dates posted on spirit shop twitter and also in Thunderhawk newsletter for the Holiday season. Memberships : There were no new memberships since the last meeting. The winter rosters should be set and will send out lists to each of the winter sports reps. Keep pushing. Team reports : Football:Were 6-2 going into the last 2 games and unfortunately lost to both Sycamore and Mason and missed the playoffs. Girls Golf:GMC Champs, make state and finished 7th. Had 2 girls make 1st team all SW district, 1 placed 2nd , and 1 Honorable mention.
Boys Golf:GMC Champs, Sectional Champs, Kyle Schmidt GMC Player of the Year. Qualified for state and finished 6th , all 6 players made 1st team GMC and Kyle Schmidt was named 2nd team All State. Girls Soccer:Varsity 6-10-2 Lost to Mason in districts, Had 4 players 1st team GMC, Kate Larbes All SW Ohio team Boys Soccer: Finished 5th in GMC, lost to Moeller in tournament. Had 2 players for 1st team GMC and 3 players to 2nd team GMC. Girls Volleyball:Lost to Mason in Sectional Finals Cross Country:Girls were GMC Runners up and qualified for state Finished 10 out of 20 teams at state. Girls also sent 13 girls to Nike Midwest Regional and finished 15 out of 35 teams. Boys:were GMC runners up and Dustin qualified and WON state. 8 boys were at Nike Midwest Regional -Dustin WON!! Will compete in Oregon for Nationals. Girls Tennis:Varsity 7-2 finished 3rd in GMC, JV 9-5. Varsity lost in sectionals Cheer:Had a great fall season and now looking forward to basketball season. 5K: starting to look towards next year. We made a profit of almost 10K!! Great job! Bash: Fall sports team – tickets are now available – See Jeff Harper. Also to remember to start collecting basket money now while you still see all of your teams parents. Date of Bash 4/14/18 at the Elks . Will be setting up Basket Committees to help with getting donations, ideas, and making baskets. Team Requests: None at this time.
