MISSOURI WESTERN ELITE CAMP INFORMATION Here is your chance to get the complete Missouri Western Basketball experience. You will play against elite-level competition, while being coached by Missouri Western’s coaching staff. This camp is designed to give you a first-hand look at what it’s like to practice, play, train and prepare like a college athlete.

HEAD COACH BRETT WEIBERG Brett Weiberg enters his third season as the Griffons head coach after being named the fourth since 1969. Weiberg came to Missouri Western from Northern Oklahoma College where he had been the head coach since 2006. The 40-year-old has compiled over 150 career victories in nine seasons. Weiberg brings 17 years of collegiate coaching experience to Missouri Western and has experience in coaching at a multitude of levels. He began his coaching career in 1998 as an assistant at Blinn Junior College in Brenham, Texas. Following stints at NAIA Wayland Baptist University and Division I Texas-San Antonio, he found a home at Northern Oklahoma College where he spent five years as an assistant before becoming the head coach in 2006. In doing so, he succeeded his legendary father, Mick Weiberg. Prior to beginning his coaching career, he enjoyed a solid fouryear playing career spending the first two years of it playing for his father at NOC and helping lead his team to two conference championships. He spent his last two years of eligibility at Division I Sam Houston State where he was voted team captain his senior year and led the team in minutes played. He was also a two time member of the Southland Conference All Academic Team. Weiberg and his wife, Kristy, are the proud parents of Jared Cole, Jayden Cora, and Jackson Cash.

The Missouri Western Elite Basketball Camp will be held on Missouri Western State University’s campus Friday, August 7, 2015. This exceptional camp is for players who are very serious about playing basketball at the next level. The Missouri Western coaching staff will be in attendance running all of the drills and will be instructing the campers with a “hands-on” approach. The camp will take place in the Looney Arena. Included in the cost is a Missouri Western T-shirt.
