Mobile Security Lock QUICK INSTALL GUIDE Model 440899
Thank you for purchasing the MANHATTAN Mobile Security Lock, Model 440899. With its four-digit combination lock and built-in security slot (“K-slot”), plus steel cable and all-metal construction, this lock is easily installed to deter would-be thieves. ®
TO RESET THE COMBINATION: The factory-set combination is 0000. To reset, push the cable in toward the lock and hold it in while turning the wheels to the desired combination. Release the cable. Jaws (turn lock 90˚ left or right as needed to fit the hole) Notched locking wheel 4 combination wheels
2. With the combination set to 0000 or the current code, insert the closed jaws into the device. 3. Turn the locking wheel to the right to spread the jaws open. 4. Turn the combination wheels to lock the jaws in place. 5. To remove, set the combination, turn the locking wheel to the left to close the jaws, then remove the lock from the device.
1. Loop the cable around a heavy or immovable item: a desk frame, drawer handle or whatever else is convenient and within reach.
