Modified Rules of Play (U6) Goals: 4’ x 6’ – Corner flags should be used for cost and efficiency. Field Markings: It is only necessary to mark the field with a distinctive perimeter and a half – line Law #1 The Ball: Size 3 shall be used. Law #2 Number of Players:  The maximum number of players on the field shall be no more than three (3). (No Goal Keepers)  Maximum number of players on the roster shall be six (6). Each player in good standing shall play at least 50% of every game.  Teams and games shall be coed.

Law #3 Players Equipment: To conform with FIFA Law acceptable footwear may be tennis or soft cleat shoes. SHIN GUARDS are MANDATORY. Law #4 Referee: May be a registered referee, associate referee, coach or parent. All Rule/Law infractions shall be briefly explained to the offending player Law #5 Assistant Referee: Parents may be used to assist the referee in signaling the ball in and out of play. Law #6 Duration of the Game: 



The game shall be divided into four (4) quarters each have a duration of eight (8) minutes. There shall be a two (2) minute break between each quarters and a five (5) minute half time break between the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Substitutions may be made an any time and between quarters after receiving permission from the referee.

Law #7 Start of Play: To conform with FIFA Law, except that opponents must be 3 yards from the ball prior to the kick-off.

Law #11 Fouls and Misconduct: To conform to FIFA Law. The infraction shall be explained briefly to the offending player. Law #12 Free Kick:  

To conform to FIFA Law, except that all Free Kicks shall be classified as Indirect. Opponents must be 3 yards away before the kick is allowed.

Law #13 Penalty Kicks: There shall be no Penalty Kicks. Law #14 Throw In/Kick-In:  

A 2nd attempt shall be allowed in a throw-in if a player commits an error on the 1st attempt. The referee shall explain the proper method before the retake occurs. A kick-in may be substituted at the same point as the throw-in. It shall be considered and Indirect Kick and the opponent shall be a minimum of 5 yards from the ball

Law #15 Goal Kick: To conform to FIFA Law. The opponents must be 3 yards from the ball. Law #16 Corner Kick: NO corner Kick. A kick-in or throw-in shall be awarded in place of the corner kick.
