- (4) 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” Squares (A) - (6) 3” x 3” Squares (B) ¡ From the Red fabric cut: - (1) 2-5/8” x 2-5/8” Squares (C) - (2) 3” x 3” Squares (D) ¡ From the Purple fabric cut: - (2) 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” Square. Subcut in half diagonally once to make a total of (4) Half Square Triangles (HST) (E)
- (1) 4-1/4” x 4-1/4” Square. Subcut in half diagonally both directions to make a total of (4) Quarter Square Triangles (QST) (F) ¡ From the Green fabric cut: - (2) 4” x 4” Squares. Subcut in half diagonally once to make a total of (4) Half Square Triangles (HST) (G) ¡ From Blue fabric cut: - (4) 3” x 3” Squares (H) - (2) 1-1/2” x 10-1/2” (I) - (2) 1-1/2” x 12-1/2” (J)
Piecing Instructions Layout (1) Red “C” square and (4) Purple “E” HST’s as shown.

Sew (1) Purple “E” HST (long side) to each side of the Red “C” square, pressing towards the Purple. Block should measure 3-1/2” x 3-1/2”

Layout (4) Gold “F” QST’s around previously made block.

Sew (1) Gold “F” QST (long side) to each side of the Block, pressing towards the Gold. Block should measure 4-3/4” x 4-3/4”

Sew (1) Green “G” HST (long side) to each side of the Block, pressing towards the Green to make (1) Center Square. Block should measure 6-1/2” x 6-1/2”

¡ Sew rows together to make (1) Mosaic Tile Block. Press
seams open. Block should measure 10-1/2” x 10-1/2”.
Add Block Framing Strips ¡ Sew
a Blue “I” strip to the left and right sides of the block. Press towards the Blue strip.
¡ Sew
a Blue “J” strip to the top and bottom of the block. Press towards the Blue Strip.
