Player Policies and Procedures 1. CONDUCT YOURSELF AS A WINNER Rather than having several rules to cover every detail, we have one basic rule, with some clarifications. Do what is right and avoid people, places, and things that will make you wrong! Chemical Use: Alcohol, tobacco, and drugs will not be tolerated. Any violation will be dealt with in accordance with Minnesota State High School League guidelines and or school policy. If you have two violations in a calendar year, you will not dress for a Varsity competition for the remainder of the year or the next season depending upon the date of the violation. Theft: Any violations will be dealt with in accordance with the Minnesota State High School League guidelines. If this violation occurs during the season, you will be suspended from the team for the remainder of the season. You are a ROLE MODEL. Your actions not only reflect on yourself, but your family, your school, and our program. 2. PUNCTUALITY AND RESPONSIBILITY Be ready before all team meetings, practices and lifting sessions. Arrive early to take care of equipment repairs and taping. If you will be late for any reason, YOU MUST NOTIFY YOUR COACH IN ADVANCE. For any absence or tardiness (not verified with a doctor’s slip) YOU WILL DO A “REMINDER” on your time! An unexcused absence from school or practice will prohibit a player from starting the next game. Three unexcused absences and you are cut from the team! 3. TREATMENT OF INJURIES Report all injuries in a timely manner to the coaches and trainer. If you are injured, you WILL be expected to attend practice and learn with your position group, UNLESS you are receiving treatment or seeing a doctor. In the interest of player safety, a player who does not practice during the week through Wednesday, due to injury, will only be allowed to dress Friday by the discretion of the coaching staff and the trainer. 4. EQUIPMENT All the equipment used is well maintained and in good condition. Take care of your equipment and report any damage or broken parts immediately to your coaches. You will be charged for any equipment and uniforms that are not returned.

(policies and procedures continued) 5. ACADEMICS The primary objective for attending high school is to obtain an education. Take your course work seriously. If you are having academic problems discuss this with me before it becomes too late! 6.
