About Us
Missions
The Heartland District is a geographical district of Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ. It is comprised of congregations in Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas. As members of the priesthood of all believers, called by the Holy Spirit to confess the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in its purity, we give thanks for God's continual faithfulness. Through the Heartland District, we are uniting to carry out God's mission in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

What We Do Offer fellowship , worship, & educational opportunities for men and women through the Heartland District Men’s Ministry and Women of the Word (WOW) and youth gatherings. Supply congregations with information on mission opportunities Provide information on the call process through our Call Assistance Committee Assist in the pastor certification process Act as a source of financial assistance for missions via our Mission Support Fund Offer support for church professionals through our District Pastor. o Contact information: Pastor Tom Sahl at 402-239-9549 or [email protected] Serve as a resource for questions about: o LCMC pension and health plans o Transition to LCMC from another church body Provide opportunities for networking and fellowship through annual gatherings, speakers, special training, and regional events.
