Developers Lawrence Brothers, LLC and New Urban Construction, LLC had a unique vision for Morgan Park Place — including their non-traditional approach to hiring an architect. The project was awarded through a design competition. Each firm was given two weeks to come up with a project concept and design. The developers gave no guidelines, just the site survey and the direction that they “wanted something unique.” The winning design by Dryden Abernathy Architecture Design was not only an earthfriendly residential development, but also included “an urban village” where residents can live, work and play.

The developers chose Pella windows and doors to help bring their unique design vision to life. All of the residential and retail spaces feature Pella Designer Series products with triple-pane glazing and Low-E insulating glass. Not only are these products ENERGY STARqualified, they are rated #1 for energy efficiency and noise reduction among top national brands with similar glazing.1 These windows are available with Pella’s exclusive between-the-glass blinds and shades that also increase the windows’ energy efficiency — helping to reduce heating and cooling costs by nearly 1/3.2 Healthy indoor air was also a high priority.
