Moses, Canyonlands National Park. A new route was put up on Moses Tow er by Steve G reen, D oug Snively, Jim D unn and K u rt Rasmusson. The route was to the right of the first-ascent line, roughly up the northw est edge of the rock. The two routes m eet at the highest belay, just before the free-climbed sum m it blocks. The third ascent of Moses was done by Italian climbers Giorgio Bertone and Lorenzino Cosson and the A m erican Craig M artinson. The climb was filmed by Carlo M auri for Italian and G erm an television. They used the Beckey-Bjørnstad first-ascent line. Zeus, the thin tow er next to Moses, was climbed by a new route by D unn and Snively, who placed five bolts for aid. The route begins on the ridge closest to Moses. NCCS III, F8, A4. E
