MT Rush Academy ages u9-u12 (80$)

Minibolts is a recreational program for children 4-u8 years of age that introduces the game of soccer and the basic structure and skills needed at the introductory level. All activities are age appropriate and delivered in a relaxed training environment, with the emphasis on having FUN. Minibolts operates a small-sided game program formulated by the US Soccer Federation and adheres to Montana Youth Soccer Association regulations. Children MUST be 4 years old to play Minibolts. No exceptions .

Academy is also a recreational program for children u9-u12 years with the goal of individual player development in a fun, recreational environment. Along with the individual team coaches the Academy players will be trained weekly by a Rush Soccer USSF Licensed coach.

Games:

The games for both Minibolts and The Academy are held at the Siebel Soccer Complex (1000 57th St. North, across from Malmstrom). The games are held on Sunday afternoons with the first one being on September 11th and the last one being October 16th. The game times will vary depending on the age group but games do not start before 12:00 and should be finished by 6:00pm. If we have to cancel games because of weather, the makeup game will be on October 23 rd if weather allows.

Practices:

Practices for MT Rush Minibolts, 4-u8 year olds, are held in the place of the coach’s choice, usually at a local park of school once or twice a week. Practices for MT Rush Academy, u9-u12 year olds, will be held one night a week at Siebel Soccer Park with a USSF E licensed (or higher) MT Rush coach to provide more technical and advanced training skills for these players. Academy players will also have additional practices, once or twice a week, which will be held at a local park or school, with day(s) and time(s) determined by that team’s coach. Both Minibolts and Academy teams are formed based on your child’s school locations (when possible) allowing for children to be grouped with friends and classmates. Hopefully, your practice will be held near your home but again practices are 100% determined by the coach. (With the exception of the one practice for the Academy group at Siebel Soccer Park one time a week)

Coaches:

Minibolts and Academy coaches are not required to have formal training. They are 100% volunteer. You may have a coach with a lot of experience or you may get a coach with no experience. The only requirement to coach is a willingness to teach soccer and promote FUN. All coaches must pass a background check. Coaches receive their team, schedules, and equipment on August 26th. If you are interested in coaching, please contact me at 406-231-6334. We do compensate our coaches for both programs $45 (at the end of the season).

Uniforms:

Your registration fee includes a team shirt for both programs. You will need to purchase your own shorts or pants, soccer cleats, shin guards, ad soccer socks. Make sure you are buying soccer cleats and not baseball cleats, there is a difference. Soccer cleats do not have a front toe cleat. Referees check cleats at the beginning of each game and a child will not be allowed to play if they have the wrong cleats. This is a safety issue. Cleats, shin guards, and soccer socks are MUST at all practices and games. Soccer socks must be worn over the shin guards, referees also check to make sure this is correct. No exceptions.

Sponsors:

We are always looking for team sponsors for both MT Rush Minibolts and MT Rush Academy. It costs $100 to sponsor a team. Your sponsorship could be tax-deductible and you do NOT have to have a business to sponsor a team. You can sponsor your own child’s team and let them pick a “team name” and put it on the back of the shirt. For example, my son’s team is the Ninjas and they have a logo with a ninja kicking a soccer ball. Please contact me before August 24th if you would like to sponsor your child’s team. All sponsorship information/logos must be to Identity by August 26 th. This is such a great way to show your support!!
