Murrumbeena Primary School Cyber Safety Essential Agreement Levels 3 & 4 This agreement has been created in consultation with students in grades 3-6. The guidelines below will be reviewed and a class copy signed by all students in grades 3-6 at the beginning of each school year. The signed copy will be displayed in the classroom. The rules and guidelines will be reviewed regularly with students in grades 3-6.

Guidelines/Code of Conduct: Permission and supervision by a teacher is required when:  

using online resources, mobile devices or uploading and downloading information or images taking, sending or posting information or images including others, about others or created by others.

Never share your password or use the password of someone else. Never give out personal information about yourself or others. Only send and post appropriate messages and images, knowing that anyone may see them. Always log out from online accounts before leaving. Only open emails from, and chat with, people you know. Be wary of hoax emails and websites trying to collect your information. Never arrange to meet someone you have met online. Check the reliability of information by cross checking multiple sites and using teacher recommended sites. Use the school network responsibly by only accessing your own personal folder and shared folders appropriate to your level. Report any sites, issues or behaviours of concern to a teacher immediately.

Consequences: If a student fails to comply with the above guidelines the teacher will follow the following procedure: Complete a copy of Murrumbeena Primary School Cyber Safety Essential Agreement Consequences Form. The teacher in consultation with school administration will determine appropriate consequences for any breach of the guidelines. Consequences may include one or more of the following:    

Student and teacher discuss the inappropriate behaviour Suspension from using technologies at school. e.g. 1 week, 1 month Indefinite suspension from using technologies until the school deems the student is ready to be reinstated Parents informed
