Moving Into Literacy

An intensive program of focussed reading, spelling and writing games and activities for students entering Grades 1 and 2 who have literacy difficulties. Uses the University of Queensland Early Literacy Foundations program which is evidence-based and has been shown to produce significant improvements. The program was developed by speech pathologists and occupational therapists and uses movement and activities to further develop literacy skills. • Fun daily themes e.g. “The Circus, Animals”. • Maximum of 4 students to every experienced clinician. • Vacation-based to further develop literacy skills without impacting on existing school demands.
