Besides climbing Mt Fuji, attending a hanabi festival is a must if you visit in summer. Try Katsushika Fireworks Festival or Sumida River Fireworks Festival
The biggest fish market in the world and the best breakfast in universe if you like raw fish. Get up early or pull an allnighter to be one of 140 first visitors
Treat yourself to a beer on top of Takao-san (600m) just west of Tokyo. On a good day you can see Mt Fuji. It makes a good spot for cherry blossom viewing too
