CHINA MINING 2013 Welcome Address Hosted by the Ministry of Land Resources, Tianjin Municipal Government and China Mining Association, the 15th CHINA MINING Conference and Exhibition 2013 will be held at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center on November 2-5, 2013. Review of CHINA MINING Conference and Exhibition 2012

The 14th CHINA MINING Conference and Exhibition was successfully held in the Tianjin Meijiang Convention Center on November 3-6, 2012. 6000 Delegates and 429 Exhibitors from 57 countries & regions participated in the event, including 22 foreign Mining (Vice) Ministers. 4 plenary sessions and 42 breakout sessions took place during the event. Nearly 300 speakers from governments, leading domestic and international mining companies as well as related industries presented in different sessions under the conference theme of "Join Hands to Meet Challenges and Promote Sustainable Development". Exhibitors included major mining representatives from China, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Peru, Argentina and many others. Featured events, such as the 7th CHINA MINING Awards Dinner, Government Bilateral Meetings and Signing Ceremony of Project Investments were also held successfully during CHINA MINING 2012.

Policies and Financing China's private mining outbound investment is growing fast these years. In this regard, CHINA MINING 2012 included sessions on China’s Private Mining Outbound Investment and Chinese Private Enterprises Cross-Border Financing to analyze the international mining market and prospects of Chinese private enterprises.

The Panel Discussion of Mining Finance and Capital Market sponsored by TSX invited the outstanding leaders from financial institutions and mining companies to discuss how to leverage capital market and financing for Chinese companies overseas investment in mining.

Sustainability in Mining and Mine Environment

Commodities Forum Breakout sessions on hot commodities were arranged to discuss key minerals‘ demand and supply in China and the world, updates on the minerals’ trends and impacts on mine development and exploration status. The covered minerals included: iron ore, base metals, precious metals, uranium, nonmetals and other metals.

China Mining 2012 and ICMM co-hosted a panel session on mining's contribution to sustainable development. The panel featured Chinese mining company leaders talking about how their companies’ activities are contributing to sustainable development and how the principles of responsible modern mining are applied in China.

Country Investment Forum CHINA MINING provided a fabulous platform for presenting mining investment opportunities in major mining countries. During 8 breakout sessions government representatives talked about mining, exploration and FDI in Africa, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Greenland, Russia & Central Asia, Peru.

Prospecting, Exploration and Mining Global mining exploration analysts and China government representatives from mining and geological survey discussed the status and trends of global exploration. In addition, China’s geological survey development and geo-data utilization were specially introduced. Mining Technology & Equipment Forum provided a platform to present latest technical innovations in exploration and mining. Delegates could visit the booths of presenting companies and learn more about covered techniques and equipments after

CHINA MINING 2012 Exhibition Review Statistics on CHINA MINING 2004-2012 Due to the high attendance at CHINA MINING Exhibition, CHINA MINING 2012 enlarged the exhibition for half a day, which attracted 429 exhibitors and enlarged the value for all participating companies. There were five exhibition areas: China Land & Resources Area, Mining Countries Area, General Mining Area, Special Construction Area and CHINA MINING Equipment Show. General Mining Area covered the whole value chain, including geological surveying, exploration development, mining rights trading, mining investment & financing, smelting & processing, technique & equipment, mining services, etc. It brought together the most influential mining corporations, international organizations and institutions. Country Pavilions included: Australia, Canada, Argentina, Greenland and Peru.

CHINA MINING 2012 Featured Events Review Government Bilateral Meetings During CHINA MINING 2012, leaders from the Ministry of Land and Resources, PRC met with the international Resources and Energy (Vice) Ministers, including Canada, South Africa, Peru, Greenland and other countries. During the meetings, ministers from both sides agreed on further strengthening bilateral exchanges and in-depth cooperation in the fields of geology and mineral resources.

CHINA MINING 2012 Signing Ceremony of Project Investments Agreements for 89 projects worth a total of RMB 13.227 billion were signed during the conference, including 21 domestic projects worth RMB 5.063 billion and 68 overseas projects worth RMB 8.164 billion.
