Gauge is not critical for this project. qdtr: Quadruple treble crochet (qdtr)—(Yarn over) 5 times, insert hook in indicated stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, [yarn over and draw through two loops] six times. trtr: Triple treble crochet (trtr)—(Yarn over) 4 times, insert hook in indicated stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, [yarn over and draw through two loops on hook] five times. NOTES 1. Scarf is worked with 2 full leaves and 2 half-leaves across. 2. Leaf-spines are worked in odd–numbered rows. The leaves are then shaped in even-numbered rows by working stitches up one side of a spine and down the other side. 3. Leaves are joined in odd-numbered rows with dc2tog between leaves.
