FINISHED MEASUREMENT Throw measures approximately 50"/127 cm wide by 62"/157.5 cm long GAUGE Gauge is not critical for this project; Rounds 1 – 3 of Motif measure 3"/7.5 cm across. STITCHES USED Chain (ch), double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc), single crochet (sc), sl stitch (sl st) SPECIAL STITCH FPsc: Front-post single crochet—Insert hook from front to back and then to front again around post of stitch, yarn over and draw up loop, yarn over and draw through both loops on hook. MOTIF (make 80 – 20 each with A, B, C, and D) Ch 4; join with sl st in 4th ch from hook to form a ring. Round 1: Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), [dc in ring, ch 1] 7 times; join with sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch—8 dc, and 8 ch-1 sps. Round 2: (Sc, ch 3, sc) in each ch-1 sp around; join with sl st in first sc—16 sc, and 8 ch-3 sps. Round 3: Sl st in next ch-3 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same ch-3 sp, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in each remaining ch-3 sp around; join with sl st in top of beginning ch—32 dc, and 8 ch-2 sps.

Round 4: Sl st in next dc, [(sc, ch 3, sc) in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, sk next 4 dc] 8 times; join with sl st in first sc—16 sc, 8 ch-3 sps, and 8 ch-4 sps. Round 5: (Sl st, ch 3, 6 dc) in next ch-3 sp, sc in next ch-4 sp, [7 dc in next ch-3 sp, sc in next ch-4 sp] 7 times; join with sl st in top of beginning ch—Eight 7-dc groups, and 8 sc. Round 6: Sl st in each of next 3 dc, ch 6 (counts as dc, ch 3), dc in same st (first corner made), ch 2, sk next 3 dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next sc, ch 3, sk next 3 dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, sk next 3 dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next sc, ch 2, *sk next 3 dc, (dc, ch 3, dc) in next dc (corner made), ch 2, sk next 3 dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next sc, ch 3, sk next 3 dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, sk next 3 dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next sc, ch 2; repeat form * around, sk last 3 dc; join with sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch—4 corners. Fasten off. Using yarn needle, weave in ends. FINISHING Assembly: Arrange motifs as shown in Color Placement Diagram. With RS of motifs facing, using yarn needle and matching yarn color, whipstitch Motifs together through both loops. Border Join B with a sl st in any corner ch-3 sp of Throw. Round 1 (RS): Ch 3, 4 dc in same ch-3 sp (first corner made), dc in each st, seam, and joined corner across to next corner, *5 dc in next corner ch-3 sp (corner made), dc in each st, seam and joined corner across to next corner; repeat from * around; join with sl st in top of beginning ch. Fasten off B. join C in 3rd dc of any corner 5-dc group. Round 2: With RS facing, join C in 3rd dc of any corner 5-dc group, ch 3, 4 dc in same st, [sk next 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc] across to next corner, *5 dc in 3rd dc of corner 5-dc group, [sk next 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc] across to next corner; repeat from * around; join with sl st in top of beginning ch. Fasten off C. Round 3: With RS facing, join C in 3rd dc of any corner 5-dc group, ch 3, 4 dc in same st , dc in each st across to next corner, *5 dc in 3rd dc of corner 5-dc group, dc in each st across to next corner; repeat from * round; join with a sl st in top of beginning ch.. Round 4: Ch 1, FPsc around next dc, 3 sc in corner st, FPsc around each dc to next corner, *3 sc in corner dc, FPsc around each dc to next corner; repeat from * around; join with sl st in first FPsc. Fasten off. Using yarn needle, weave in any remaining ends.
