Neighborhood Notification Street Closures for the 2013 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K The 34th annual Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K will take place the morning of Sunday, April 7, 2013. The race course will pass near your property, utilizing a route that will affect different streets than in 2012. Please be advised that the following streets will be closed to traffic on Sunday, April 7, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.* as 40,000 runners pass through the area: Columbus Dr. from Roosevelt Rd. to Grand Ave. (closed until 3 p.m.) Grand Ave. from Columbus Dr. to State St. State St. from Grand Ave. to Jackson Blvd. Jackson Blvd. from State St. to Desplaines St. Desplaines St. from Jackson Blvd. to Van Buren St. Van Buren St. from Desplaines St. to Clinton St. Clinton St. from Van Buren St. to Harrison St. Harrison St. from Clinton St. to Michigan Ave. S. Michigan Ave. (northbound lanes) from Van Buren St. to Roosevelt Rd. Roosevelt Rd. (westbound lanes) from Michigan Ave. to Columbus Dr. *No parking will be allowed on the these streets starting at 6 a.m. on Sunday, April 7. Vehicles that are not removed from the street by that time will be ticketed and towed. For inquiries about towed vehicles, call 312.744.4444. Lake Shore Dr., Congress Pkwy. and N. Michigan Ave. will remain open. Of note, there will be limited vehicle access through Grant Park for the duration of the event, from 12 p.m. Saturday, April 6, to approximately 3 p.m., on Sunday, April 7. As in years past, we are working with the Chicago Police Department to ensure that street closures follow a “rolling pattern” so that as the last participant passes, the street will reopen and traffic will return to normal as quickly as possible. Please make adjustments to your schedule to avoid any inconvenience.
