Nephews & Cousins

Nieces & Cousins

I sit here and ponder how very much I’d liker to talk with you today. There are so many things that we didn’t get to say. I know how much you care for me And how much I care for you. And each tine that I think of you, I know you’ll miss me too. An angel came and took you by the and said, “Your place was ready in Heaven, far above…” And you had to leave behind all those you dearl loved. You had so much to live for, you had so much to do. It still seems impossible that God has taken you. And though your life on earth is past, In Heaven it starts anew You’ll live for all eternity, just as God has promised you. And though you’ve walked through Heaven’s gate, We are never far apart. For every time I think of you, You’re right here…deep within my heart.

Words cannot express how much we thank you for the expressions of sympathy, and all the help you provided us during our moment of sorrow. Special thanks are extended to the SC Department of Mental Health Staff, Dr. Meggie Johnson, Dr. Jones, Nurse Jane, Palmetto Health Richland, Family Medicine Center and PruitHealth Hospice for the care you provided our loved one over the years.

For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Timothy 4: 6-8 (KJV)

Brenda K. Williams was born February 8, 1960 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Jesse Williams and Wilhelmina Rayford Spigner Williams. She entered Heaven’s Gates on March 13, 2017 at PruittHealth. She was 57. She attended Columbia High in Richland District One. Brenda, affectionately known as “Little Ma,” was very family-oriented. She enjoyed spending time with her twin sister, braiding hair and spending time daily with her aunts. She always called on her sister, Geraldine, for all her needs. Brenda was quiet in her own way. No matter what she went through, she never complained and would let you know if anything was out of place or just not right. She will truly be missed. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Robert Rayford and Michael Williams; sister, Gloria Prescott; and nephew, Jason Dunlap. She is survived by her twin sister, Glenda “Big Ma” Williams of Columbia, South Carolina, and sister, Geraldine Dunlap of Lexington, South Carolina; brothers: George B. (Florence) Rayford of New Jersey, Ronald Barnes and Nathaniel (Pam) Williams, both of Columbia, South Carolina; her loving aunts who were very dear to her: Jessie Jacobs, Lillie Bell Jacobs, Juanita Williams, Gloria Jean Williams and Constance “Bonnie” Watson; sisters-in-law: Florence Rayford, Pricilla Coleman and Yvonne Dunlap; brothers-in-law, Thomas Lee Prescott and Zachary J. Dunlap; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives, all of whom will miss her dearly, but join us in rejoicing that “Little Ma” is resting with the Lord.
