Making Your Own Mac Account 1. Turn on your computer and click on “NYCDOE”
2. Type in the password\RX OOQHHGWRDVN0U/DKDQDWRW\SHLWLQIRU\RX
3. Now click on the apple icon in the top left corner of the screen and select “System Preferences”.
4. Click on “Accounts”.
5. Click the lock.
6. +DYH0U/DKDQDW\SHLQWKH3DVVZRUGWKHQpress “OK”.
7. Next, press the plus sign to add your account.
8. Enter in your “Name”, “Short Name”, “Password”, and “Verify” (which means write you password again.)
your name should be your first initial, your last name and the number ‘188”
your password is your SKRQH QXPEHU9HULI\ PHDQVW\SHLW DJDLQ
9. Your screen should now look like this (wth YOUR name, not mine):
10. Restart your computer by clicking on the apple and clicking “Restart”.
11. Click “Restart”.
12. Choose your account from the list.
13. Enter in your “Password” and click “Log In”.
14. At the end of each class period, log out of your computer by clicking the Apple and “Log Out”.
15. Click “Log Out” again.
