NEW SCHOOL BADGE BY KETTY AND ALYSHA
We, (Cardinal Wiseman) have changed our school badge. We changed it just before the summer of 2016. Students had a say in choosing which badge; during DEAR, we had to vote on a choice of three badges and we chose this one! (Below)
Our new badge features a hat and tassels which is the symbol of a Cardinal. It also features the cross in the middle, because our motto is all for Christ which shows Christ is the centre of our school. In our school we find inspiration in our school’s motto. We hope it helps people look forward to arriving to our school and helps attract more of our community. We believe in excellence for all. Our motto is that of Cardinal Wiseman ‘Omnia Pro Christo – All for Christ’ and our dedicated staff join our pupils on their life journey, at whatever stage they are, and support them to become the best person they can be in all aspects of their life. Destiny said: “It gives our school a new identity and chance to attract more students”. Miss Postin said: “It gives our school a refreshing
and sharp feel, it also makes our school look different because some schools with our same name have identical badges so this badge gives our school diversity and makes it unique, complementing our new moto and name.” Our old motto was “FORWARD IN FAITH”
Susma Said: I prefer the old badge better but we are all ready for a change”. Our old badge used to be simple and has some similarities to the new one. FORWARD IN FAITH represents us growing together and exploring our faith it also means growing and learning about new cultures and religions. OVERALL Overall we can say that our change has been very successful and represents our school very well. The appearance at the front of the school has brought smiles to our community. Cardinal Wiseman’s big change has assisted on showing our community we are a good school. Our new identity is a big change but a successful one! We hope you like our new badge!
