NEW STAFF QUESTIONNAIRE What is your greatest fear?
CLOWNS. It’s the only thing I’m scared of, I had a bad experience as a younger child. And I watched a movie with a scary clown in it. Now I’m scarred for life. I’m not just terrified of them, but I do not like them at all.
What is your funniest habit?
JACOB KESLER What is your favorite snack?
Snack food is basically what I live on. I’m pretty addicted to Cheez-It’s though. I would say those are my favorite!
What is your favorite Bible verse?
Hebrews 13:6 is probably my favorite singular verse in the Bible. “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me (KJV).” So many times in this life we’re terrified of what could happen to us at the hands of others, and this verse reminds me that I live in a bigger plan of a bigger God than anything I could ever do myself.
I have ADHD, so I never sit still. One of the weirdest things that I do is tap my fingers, from outside in, then I do it backwards. I count it in my head, then do it with my other hand too, the same number of times. Even worse, then I do it all backwards. Either that or I sing a whole lot, normally way too high for a guy to be singing.
What is your most embarrassing moment?
When I was in middle school, we had a HUGE hill on our playground. I was trying to impress a female friend of mine, and being the brilliant person that I was in middle school, I decided it would be fun to try and run down the hill at her to scare her, and force her to love me at the same time. I ended up tripping, rolling down the hill and knocking her down, ripped my pants up the seam and cut my arm. Then I got detention. Definitely my most embarrassing moment.
When I have an hour of free time, I like to...
Do whatever strikes my fancy at the moment. I play one of my four instruments, play frisbee, run, play frisbee, workout, play frisbee, read, play frisbee, go drive somewhere random, or play frisbee. I really enjoy frisbee.
How many years have you been at camp (camper and staff years combined)? This will be my first!
Share in a few sentences what you are most excited about for summer 2013. I’m so excited about being in a camp where I can be exactly who I am and not hold back. Jesus amazes me, and everything He has done for me amazes me and continues to do so. I asked to be used somewhere I could make a difference, and he put me somewhere that I am unbelievably excited about serving at. I can’t say a specific part about camp that I’m excited about, because I’m unnaturally excited about the entire idea of spending an entire summer with other people just like me. I CAN’T WAIT.
