RULES   

    

3 games per team – we will attempt to have teams play against their own level (beginner vs. beginner, intermediate vs. intermediate) All games will be ½ ice games – split at the red line (using hard dividers). 2 – 12 minute periods with the 3rd period being played out with the remainder of the time. 60 minutes allowed for each game. 5 minute warm up before the start of each game. Players will switch every 1:30, whistle/horn will sound for the line change, and puck will then be dropped for a face off. All players will have their name announced at the last game, making the last game a little shorter than the other two. Team coach from each team or Team Rep should report to the time keeper booth on the rink to read your own teams skaters… after all who doesn’t like hearing their name said correctly. “Mite” size goals (4’6”X3’) will be used; goalies will be used. 4 oz. “blue” pucks will be used, as recommended by USA Hockey. No score will be kept – at this age it is about playing and having fun. No penalties will be issued but a referee/coach can remove a skater from the ice for the rest of the shift if they feel it is called for. Participation award for each skater at the end of the 3rd game.

We have no control over weather conditions that weekend. In the event that weather makes travel unsafe for your team to New Ulm please contact Jon Haugen @ 507-276-5200 (cell) as soon as possible. We will try our best to reorganize and get everyone the games that we have indicated above if a team should cancel.
