This fall, he will pursue an electrical engineer degree at USC. He is especially interested in creating devices that use low power. Ignatious is one of 10 deserving students receiving a renewable $20,000 Bright Minds scholarship. Since 2012, PG&E has offered Bright Minds scholarships to students who demonstrate community leadership, personal triumph, financial need and academic achievement.
Investing in the higher education of California’s next generation
When Ignatious was ten he visited Malaysia, the country where he was born. He was disappointed to learn that his portable game charger would not work with Malaysia’s 220V wall socket. This incident sparked his interest in technology and inspired his dream to become an electrical engineer.
