Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn - MC (main colour) = 100 grams - CC (contrast colour) = 50 grams 4 x double pointed needles (3.75mm)

With MC cast on 24 (30, 30, 36, 36, 42, 48) sts. Divide onto 3 needles being careful not to twist and work K1, P1 rib for 2 (2.5, 2.5, 3, 3, 3.5, 3.5) inches. Purl 1 row increasing 4 (6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6) sts evenly across round. Purl a second round. Repeat patterns 1 and 2, purling 2 rounds with MC between patterns every time until you have a total of 2 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4) patterns completed. On next purl row; purl 2 sts, place next 0 (7, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8) sts onto st holder for thumb and cast-on 0 (7, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8) sts using backward loop method. Purl 1 row.

The little “honeycombs” create a corrugated pattern inside the mitten, good for trapping in warmth and keeping your fingers toasty.
