Four Kimberly Students Bring Home SkillsUSA Medals Kimberly, Wis. – March 4, 2016 – Four members of the six student SkillsUSA team from Kimberly High School earned awards at the regional competition at Fox Valley Technical College on February 19, 2016. The students competed in skills based competitions ranging from welding to motorcycle repair. Three Kimberly students earned 1st place gold medals at the competition and one earned a 2nd place silver medal. The students competed in a contest category that is of interest to their career focus: 

The SkillsUSA regional competition, in its third year, was a record setting year for participation with more than 100 students competing in dozens of skilled and technical science areas. SkillsUSA is a state and national organization that serves technical, skilled and service occupation instructional programs in public high schools. Nationally, SkillsUSA serves more than 300,000 students and advisors in 53 state and territorial associations (including the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands). SkillsUSA helps students discover and grow their career passions. It provides opportunities for students to reach their potential in career and technical education.
