Paris High School Blue Blazes Wildcat Band advances to area marching competition
The Paris High School Blue Blazes Wildcat Band marched away victoriously from the Northeast Texas Marching Festival on October 11. The band earned a division one rating, the drum majors received a division one rating, percussion received a division one rating, and color guard received a division one rating. The PHS marching band finished second overall in finals against all bands and won Outstanding Color Guard over all bands in all classes. On October 14, the PHS marching band competed in Mt. Pleasant at the UIL Region 4 Marching contest. They earned a first division rating and now advance to the Area C-4A marching contest on October 24 at Longview High School’s Lobo Stadium. The Paris High School band is under the direction of Charles Grissom.
