Newsletter 2 February 2015 World Book Day – Reminder World book day is Friday 6th March and as always the children are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character. We will have lots of fun activities taking place across the week, and the finale will be the judging of the class book competition and the opening of our new library by a very special guest at 10am on Friday 6th March. There will also, be a book sale as well as the usual treats on offer in our café so do please try and pop in. Red Nose Day Red Nose Day is Friday 13th March this year. School has ordered a supply of this year’s fantastic Red Noses, which are now on sale at Reception for £1. Classes will be organising their own activities to celebrate Red Nose Day and will advise you as soon as possible. Easter Fair Our Easter Fair takes place on Tuesday 31st March between 10am and 11am; the children have been working very hard to create lots of treats and crafts which can be purchased on the day. Swimming Clubs Unfortunately, as our Lifeguard has left due to an injury, we are unable to run swimming clubs at the moment. Jessica Jobling is going to train as a lifeguard, so swimming clubs will restart after the Easter holidays. However, children who normally attend swimming club are more than welcome to stay for youth club. Easter Holidays School breaks up for Easter holidays on Thursday 2nd April at the normal time of 3.15pm, and will re-open on Monday 20th April.
After School Clubs After school clubs are running again, please ensure you book your child in on a Friday to stay the following week. Also, can we please remind all parents to collect their children promptly at 6pm, as the Site Supervisor needs time to check the building and lock up for 6.15pm. Any late pickups will be charged at the hourly rate for 3 members of staff. Saturday Club The Saturday club is running again as a drop-off session only, please book in on a Wednesday if you would like your child to attend.
