Dear Parents/Carers I hope you have all had an enjoyable half term. The children have all settled well into the Children’s Club. This term our topics will include Bonfire night, Diwali, Remembrance Day and dark and light. Please do bring in any photographs of family celebrations as we would love to share them with the children. DONATIONS Please could you bring in any outgrown jogging bottoms or socks as we always need these for spare clothes. SNACK Please could we ask for a voluntary contribution of £8 to help towards fruit and snack as well as cooking activities. ADHOC SESSIONS The afterschool club is fully booked, but we do have spaces for morning and afternoon sessions. Why not come and try and ad hoc session? Have a day shopping, cleaning or just a day off! BOOK NOW! ABSENCE If your child is unwell/absent please do let us know. Please remember if your child is sick or has diarrhoea, please refrain from bringing them into Children’s Club/Nursery for 48 hours. If your child is unwell and needs Calpol they really need to be at home to enable them to recover. PLEASE also call if your child is not at school and will not be attending the afterschool club. If we are not informed the children and staff have to wait and find out when everyone else has gone home and it can become very stressful. ACCIDENTS Please check to see if your child’s name is on the door of the Children’s Club. If so please speak to an adult. If your child has received any injury at home please do let a member of staff know in case your child becomes unwell.
CHANGE OF ADDRESS/TELEPHONE NUMBER/E-MAIL Please can you let a member of staff know any changes in circumstances. It is vital we have all the correct details.
COLLECTION SIGNING IN/OUT Late collection charges will be occurred if you are late collecting your child. Please ensure you collect your child by the end of the session. Please also ensure that you sign your child in/out at the beginning and end of session. Please see the Children’s Club terms and conditions.
SAFEGUARDING Please can all parents/carers make sure that they sign their child in and out of the Children’s Club. Please inform staff if there are any changes with regards to who is collecting your child. We will ask for the password if we are unfamiliar with adults collecting children.
CAR PARKING Please can all parents adhere to the car parking signs at the Children’s Club car park. There are specific drop off and collection bays that allow you up to 15 minutes. We also have dedicated disabled car parking bays which are used for disabled parents/staff. The car park gates can be closed at any time.
CLOTHING/LUNCH BOXES As the weather changes please can you ensure that your child has the appropriate clothing, coats and suitable shoes. We have a number of items that have gone ‘missing’. Please label your child’s property clearly. Lunch boxes need to be clearly named (as we do have a number of children with allergies). Please also refrain from putting nuts into your child’s packed lunch, thank you. We would also be very grateful if you could keep items such as bags, shoes, etc. to a minimum. The children have to carry their belongings to Nursery and have difficulty when they have so much to carry.
