October’s curriculum theme is “God’s Creation”. Classes will be talking about Fall and all of the changes going on around us. The weather looks ok on Monday for our field trips to Farmer John’s Pumpkin Patch. The month will end with Pumpkin Parties. The children are invited to bring their costumes to school (Please leave weapons and scary costumes at home) and we will parade through the church. We are often surprised with treats in the church offices. Check your class calendar for your child’s party date. We are excited for the arrival of our new indoor climber. We were able to use our Parent Aware grant money and our Gifts and Memorials to purchase this great new piece of equipment. Thank you to Mrs. Steffenson for coordinating this project and for the construction, with the help of the Nirk family. The school year has gotten off to a great start. Remember to give me a call (at school, 451-8247 or home, 451-4280) if you have any comments or concerns. Brenda Jensen
“God looked at everything he made and he was pleased.” Genesis 1:31 Join us for Family Game Night this Friday, October 6 from 6:00-7:30.
Dress for the Weather Please remember that we will continue to go outside as weather permits. Toes, ears and fingers are often the first to get cold. Please send appropriate clothes for your child to wear to play outside. Especially in the morning, it is still cool when the children are outside.
October 2017 Remember all families who are participating in the SCRIP program are contributing money to the TNS fundraising goal with every purchase. Thirty –five families have now participated by making a purchase. A number of Trinity members are also regular shoppers, who help support our program. Go to glscrip.com and you can see a complete list of those retailers that are available to special order. Orders are placed about once a week.
Make it a Habit! School Bags It is very important to check and empty your child’s school bag every day. Your child’s art and important communications from your teacher will be in your school bag. We go through bags everyday checking for communication from you. A clean bag is helpful to everyone.
PLEASE REMEMBER: Classrooms DO NOT open until 8:10 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. Teachers require the time before class to do final preparations for the day. Please respect their time and stay with your child. You may wait with your child in the chapel across from the TNS office or in the Big Room. Early Care is available for $4.00 and a 24 hour notice.
Trinity Nursery School will be closed October 19th and 20th for MEA.
