2014 Camogie Review
Division 2 Hurling League 2015
2014, has seen Valley Rovers Camogie enjoy success once again. To begin with, our senior panel competed in the Munster League and following a very successful campaign, they reached the Final defeating Toomevara of Tipperary. This victory made up for losing in both the 2011 and 2013 finals and coming back to compete in the Cork championship inspired the players to continue on their winning ways and qualifying for a county semi-final V Clonakilty. The absence of a number of experienced players for this encounter saw us lose by the narrowest of margins.
Rounds 1-6 to be played on or before scheduled dates, both clubs to confirm fixtures details to office by email only as per regulations.Two more of the remaining rounds to be played by August 9th. Our junior team only competed in championship but didn’t qualify from their group despite their best efforts. The U18 team lost out to Carrigaline in the quarter-final stage. At U16 level, competing in the C grade, this panel enjoyed county success defeating Ballinascarthy and must be m admired for going year to year, without ever achieving county honours. We look forward to these young ladies enjoying more success in the adult ranks in the years ahead.

The U14’s participated in the county league and the Feile Na nGael. Our U8-U12’s continue to play under the Go-Games ethos, encouraging fun and enjoyment along with developing the skills as they progress in each grade.
