“Silver Smarties Challenge” How are you all doing? We hope you enjoyed your smarties and are now hard at work earning your House team lots of money. Some of the jobs we have heard about have been: Car washing, setting the table, cleaning out your animal hutches and pens and emptying the recycling boxes. Good work guys and keep going the teams are all equal at the moment...it’s up to you who wins!! PFA Social “Bring a Friend” meeting at :The George and Dragon Pub Tuesday 10th May 7.30pm please join us for a drink! We would love to see you! Non-Uniform Thank you to all the children for bringing in their donations for the Plant Sale. Jam Jars If you have any spare jam jars the PFA would be grateful for them. Please drop them in to either office. Grants Champion The school is looking for someone who is able to help source grants for special school projects. We have a fantastic PFA and this role would complement the work they do. Please contact the school office if you are interested. Caretaker / Handy Person Required We are looking for a caretaker / handy person to work between our 2 sites. Previous caretaking experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. Successful candidate will need a range of basic handy person skills and own transport. For application form and job description please contact the school office. PE T-shirts If you would like to order a house colour PE t-shirt please fill out the slip below and return to the school office with full payment by 20th May. Each t-shirts costs £2.00.

The individuals with the most house points this week are Morgan in Elder Class, Alfie in Hazel Class, Alfie Lawton-Keilaus in Chestnut Class and Sid in Beech Class. Worton Office Next week the Worton office phones will be on answer phone in the morning. If you need to contact Worton please call the Potterne office and they will contact Mrs Williams directly. This week the winners of the attendance trophy are Elder class with 98.2% attendance!
Netball News This week the 'B' team played their final match in this league, and like many of the other matches they have played, they played a school with only one team in the league, so their 'A' team. It was Southbroom this week and although they lost 5-2 there was a very determined effort by John (c) Oliver, Scarlet, Molly, Bethany H., and Harriet. Overall, they finished mid-table which is excellent. Unsurprisingly, the 'A' team were runners up in their league, which is a tremendous result. Sincere thanks to all parents who helped with transport and supported us in this league, sometimes in some very unpleasant weather. Netball Club has finished now, and practices for the Plant Sale will take place during school time. Mrs Alvis
