Welcome to Hutt City. James Dean, a Hollywood actor from the early 1950's, was photographed strolling down an empty street in the rain, wearing a long over coat , hands in his pockets and a cigarette in his mouth. The caption read, 'Boulevard of broken dreams.' His dreams truly broke soon after this when in 1955 when he was killed in a car accident. I guess many have been watching the Commonwealth Games these last few weeks. Quite a contrast between those who won and those who didn't. The theme of my message today is based on a Bible verse from John 6 v 12 - 'Gather up the fragments.' These are not just people who feel the disappointment of coming forth in a race, they missed the starters gun altogether and although the fragments in this verse refers to the leftovers from a meal, there seems a similarity to many people around us - People who are walking down their own 'Boulevard of broken dreams.' We have a message of 'HOPE' that does not depend on our circumstances - but rather our response to God through our circumstances . I trust that you find relief in God from whatever might be keeping you down cast.

Sunday 24th August It's now only three weeks from our annual Missionary offering and this year we are hoping to raise $22,000. Rather than wait for this day, some are choosing to start paying earlier. It helps them with their budge ng.
