Currently viewing at the cinemas is a movie call ‘Into the Storm’. This movie depicts a story of the ‘worst storm ever’ and some storm chasers. Not my kind of movie because it isn't a ‘chick flick’. I have been thinking a bit lately about the storms in our own lives (and I'm sure we don't deliberately chase them). In particular, how do we handle these storms?

[email protected] Reading through the story in Luke 8: 22-25 we see how Jesus handled a storm at sea. He slept though it. When Jesus was woken, He commanded the storm to be still, and even the winds and the waves obeyed Him. This got me thinking some more… if I am going through storms in my life, I want Jesus in my boat - makes sense really doesn't it? Have week

17 The Salvation Army Hutt City Corps Playgroup is one of the best pre-school playgroups around! People come from all over the Hutt Valley to join in on a Thursday and Friday morning. The aim of our Playgroup is to help both parent/caregiver and child to have fun and make new friends in a relaxed situation where the child's natural curiosity is stimulated. Mixing with other children will help children learn to share, co-operate and socialise. Parents/Caregivers are encouraged to play with their children, and be responsible for them and their behaviour at all times. We sing songs, play games and have heaps of cool toys which equals tons of fun. We require volunteers to help on a Wednesday to set up playgroup during the school terms so if anyone has a spare few hours on a Wednesday that would be great. It is quite physical and takes around 2-3 hours depending on start time. We also need more Volunteers for Friday Playgroup from 9am - 12pm. For more information contact Linda Salter, Playgroup Co-ordinator on 0-4-570 273 or
