Tell me after this morning's message if you couldn't find anything to laugh at. Of course there are things that happen to us that make us less inclined to laugh, but if that is the state we continually live in, we need to find a means of escape because life is better than that. Laughter is a good medicine. It seems to release something inside us that brings colour back to our outlook. For a few moments, the random notes seem to be in tune (a tune we won’t get sued for) and for a short space in time, we realise that the whole world is most probably not against us after all. I pray God's blessing on you this morning as you reflect on the positives in life. I'll be looking for a smile at the very least from everyone.

WORSHIP TEAM LEADER Aaron Stone

RECEPTION

When did you last laugh at something? Maybe it was when we recently suggested that we get behind this year's annual Missionary offering. Of course that wasn't meant to be a joke, but still you're not too late if you want to contribute. The writer of Proverbs chapter 17 v 22, suggests that laughter is a good medicine so this morning I am encouraging all to come and have some laughing tonic. Politics have provided entertainment these last few weeks but the joy only lasts for so long doesn't it? Sometimes funny things happen to us which cause a smile but research would suggest that we don't laugh as much as we used to. Maybe we need to.

The Salvation Army Hutt City Corps Playgroup is one of the best preschool playgroups around! We sing songs, play games and have heaps of cool toys which equals tons of fun. We require volunteers to help on a Wednesday to set up playgroup during the school terms so if anyone has a spare few hours on a Wednesday that would be great. It is quite physical and takes around 2-3 hours depending on start time. We also need more Volunteers for Friday Playgroup from 9am 12pm. For more information contact Linda Salter, Playgroup Coordinator on 0-4-570 273 or [email protected]
